Who is Liza Snyder?
Liza Snyder is an American actress who has achieved fame by portraying Christine Hughes in the TV comedy series “Yes, Dear”, and as Andi Burns in yet another TV comedy series “Man with a Plan”, among numerous other projects on which she has worked since starting her career.
Liza Snyder Wiki: Age, Childhood, and Education
Liza Snyder was born on the 20th March 1968 in Northampton, Massachusetts USA; her mother was a singer-songwriter and her father was a professor of theatre at Smith College. She is the granddaughter of Johnny Green, an Academy Award-winning composer, and actress and consumer reporter Betty Furness. She went to the prestigious New York City’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, where she studied acting under one of three most prominent acting coaches, Sanford Meisner.
Career Beginnings
Liza’s career started in the early ‘90s with a couple of minor roles in such TV series as “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill” (1992), and “Down the Shore” (1992), while in 1994 she secured her first recurring role, as Off. Molly Whelan in the TV crime-drama series “Sirens”; the show was canceled after one season, but she continued her career with roles in television films “Innocent Victims” and “Race Against Time: The Search for Sarah”, both in 1996. Two years later, she was chosen for the role of Linda in the TV comedy series “Jesse” (1998-2000), in which she starred alongside Christina Applegate and Jennifer Milmore.
Rise to Prominence
Gradually Liza was becoming more popular in the entertainment world, and in 2000 she made her film debut; she was selected for the part of Michelle in the award-winning drama film “Pay it Forward” with Kevin Spacey, Haley Joel Osment, and Helen Hunt in the lead roles. The same year, she secured one of the most prominent roles in her career, as Christina Hughes in the TV comedy series “Yes, Dear” (2000-2006), appearing in all 122 episodes of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series, which significantly increased her wealth and popularity.
After the show ended, and Liza went on hiatus from acting at the peak of her career, only returningd five years later with a minor role in the TV series “House”, and two years later made a brief appearance in the TV series “Raising Hope”. She felt that she was getting nowhere with her career re-started, but in 2016 luck smiled upon her as she was chosen for the female lead role of Andi Burns in the TV comedy series “Man with a Plan”, next to Matt LeBlanc and Matt Cook.
