Melissa Reeves Wiki: Early Life, Family, and Education
Melissa is the daughter of Marion and Lawrence Brennan, and grew up in her hometown with her brother David. She became interested in dancing and before long she became a part of the Lee Strasberg Institute, located in New York, which forced the move of the entire family from New Jersey to New York. Career Beginnings
“Days of Our Lives”

In her first stint, Melissa remained in the series until 1995, when she decided to leave the set and the series in the middle of the 30th season, and as a result was sued by Corday Productions and Sony TV Entertainment for breach of contract. Melissa managed to avoid a court appearance, and settled the lawsuit out of court, ordered to pay an unspecified sum, which Days Executive Producer Ken Corday donated to pediatric AIDS research. Before leaving “Days of Our Lives”, Melissa featured in three television films which are spin-offs from the popular series, “One Stormy Night” in 1992, then “Night Sins” and “Winter Heat”, in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Once she left the series, she wasn’t very active as an actress, appearing only in the television film “Half a Dozen Babies” in 1999, co-starring with her husband Scott Reeves.
