She is also known as the only (now ex-) legal wife of Kody Brown.
Before Fame
Prior to becoming famous as a reality television personality, Mary worked in the mental health industry. However, she was fired in 2010 when her polygamist marriage became the main topic of the aforementioned reality TV show.

Meri became engaged to Kody in December 1989, and the two married in the following year. In 1993, Kody spiritually married Meri’s friend Janelle Shcriever, which was followed by his next marriage to Christine Allred in the 1994. In 1995, Meri and Kody welcomed their daughter, Mariah Brown, who is known in the media as lesbian. Five years later, he spiritually married Robyn Sullivan, and finally, to date, in December of 2014, Meri and Kody decided to divorced, so that he could become legally married to Robyn.
