Marriage and Controversy

For her personal life, it is known that Iva and Mike Colter have been married since 2016, and they have a child together. Controversy erupted when Mike was a guest on “The Wendy Williams Show”, which showcased a picture of the family leading the once cheering audience to an awkward silence. He later expressed disappointment at the audience of the show, and fired back at those who view interracial relationships negatively, stating that no one should be judged according to their race but through the values they stand for.
