Peter Porte’s Early Life

Porte was born and raised in Greenwood Lake, New York, by his Italian father and Polish mother. He has been in love with acting from an early age; his first taste came in third grade when he joined a Christopher Columbus pageant at school. He credits his mother for winning the role, as she made him a traditional Polish outfit for the pageant.

Porte continued his passion for acting while attending George F. Baker High School, deciding to become a professional actor, so then attending the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he earned a BFA degree in acting. He also went to London and studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) to hone his skills further.
