Even during her college years, Poppy was preparing herself for the corporate world; she was an intern at CBS, and even after graduation remained with the company, working for MarketWatch and as an assistant for CBS Newspath. Gradually her career improved and from CBS she joined NY1 News, then in 2007 felt the first rays of success when she was recruited by Forbes. com Video Network, for which she covered news on several topics, including business, fashion and entertainment.
