As of the more recent past, she was a host of “Fantasy Football Island”, working alongside Mike Golic Jr., and in 2018 began working on yet another radio show, entitled “Spain & Fitz”. To sum things up, having a rich portfolio and being a hardworking woman has paid off for Spain, as she has managed to establish her name in the world of entertainment and sport.
Early Life and Education
Despite being born in Cleveland, Spain spent the majority of her formative years in Lake Forest, Illinois. She attended Lake Forest High School and was the MVP and captain of the track and field team, and was then a student of Cornell University, where she studied English, and during her time in college was a heptathlete on the Cornell Big Red Track team, and a co-captain. When it comes to her body measurements, Sarah has a fit figure, as we can tell by the photos available on the internet, and obviously continues her sporting endeavours, and takes care of her diet to maintain her physique. She has pale skin and dark brown hair and eyes, which suits her complexion well. She is over 6ft (1.83m) tall.
Super Bowl XLI
Sarah was a subject of a controversy when she posted on eBay offering to be someone’s date for the Super Bowl XLI, in 2007. At that time, the hostess lived in Los Angeles and was supposed to go with her friends to Miami to watch the spectacle. However, when her friends decided that they couldn’t afford it, she got creative and described the auction as a stunt to get the media’s attention made in hope that someone would eventually agree to be her sponsor. Ultimately, Unilever, the makers of Axe Body Spray agreed to cover the expenses of her attendance.
Social Media
Being active in the entertainment field, Spain is naturally active on social media such as Twitter and Instagram, which she uses to communicate with her fans and promote her work. Her Twitter account is followed by over 160,000 people, whereas her Instagram account has more than 55,000 followers. Despite being loved by her numerous fans, the hostess sometimes gets hate mail on social media. She has recently written a tweet about it saying that she doesn’t have time for “psychopaths”, adding “If you can’t interact like a mature human being, it’s an auto-block from here on out”. In 2016, she made an appearance in the video entitled “More Than Mean”, alongside her sports radio hostess colleague Julie DiCaro. The video, which had the purpose of show awareness of sexual harassment, threats and criticism of female sportscasters, received a positive response from the audience and was rewarded with the Peabody Award in the category of Public Service.
