Since then, he’s been getting consistent work as a television actor locally. He eventually became a part of the national show “Tu si que Vales” which continued to increase his exposure, and on which he showcased a his dancing skills. He would reach the semi-final round of “Tu si que Vales” before being eliminated, however, it was enough to get him cast as one of the regular members of the musical show “Cantame como paso”, which aired in 2010.

Theatrical Work and YouTube

The same year, Rios was also given opportunity to perform on stage, as he had the necessary skills needed for musical theatre. He was cast in the role of Gavroche in the musical “Les Miserables”, which aired in a theatre in Madrid, and is based on one of the most critically acclaimed novels, of the same name, written during the 19^th century by Victor Hugo. Afterwards, Rios joined the teen band called Parchis, before in 2012 becoming a cast member of another musical, entitled “Don Pepito”.

Manu also started his own YouTube channel in 2012, as a part of his effort to gain more international exposure. He started earning popularity by making covers of various popular songs, and his second video which is a cover of the song “Juerves”, was the first to make it to a million views. He continued to release videos only sporadically over the next several years, as he is very busy with his other endeavors. He also started other types of videos, such as answering questions from fans, posting some of his favorite songs, displaying clothes, and skin care products. He continues to post song covers, with his most popular cover reaching over seven million views.
