Who is William Moseley?

British actor William Peter Moseley was born in Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire England, on 27 April 1987, meaning that Taurus is his zodiac sign. He has 33 acting credits and is perhaps still known best for starring as Peter Pevensie in the 2005 fantasy movie “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”, which also starred Georgie Henley, and which Andrew Adamson directed. It follows four children who’ve passed through their wardrobe and ended up in the magical land of Narnia – the movie won 18 of the 64 awards for which it was nominated, including an Oscar win for Best Achievement in Makeup.

William reprised his role in two other Narnia movies, the 2008 “Prince Caspian” and the 2010 “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”.

Education and early life

William was raised in Sheepscombe alongside his younger sister and brother, by their father Peter A. Moseley who was a cinematographer, and mother Juliette E. (nee Fleming) who was a housewife.

William fell in love with acting not long after enrolling at Sheepscombe Primary School, and was 11 when he made his debut film appearance, as an extra in the 1998 biographical romantic drama “Cider with Rosie”; he’s been active in the film industry ever since.

He studied at Wycliffe College (high school), and upon matriculating in 2006 continued acting rather than pursuing a college degree.

Roles in movies

Willian played Forrester in the 2002 drama “Goodbye, Mr. Chips”, and the remainder of the decade saw him focused on shooting for the Narnia movies.

In 2011, William starred as Wheeler in the short comedy “Don Chadle Is Captain Planet”, and the following year saw him play Cameron Ainsworth in the short drama “Partition”. Also in 2012, he played The Dude in the short musical “It Was Love, Now it’s War”, as well as Aspen Leger in the popular romantic drama “The Selection”, which starred Ethan Peck and Aimee Teegarden, and was directed by Mark Piznarski; it follows a poor girl who’s won a strange lottery, becoming the queen of her country.

William could then have been seen appearing in the 2013 romantic action thriller “Run”, the 2014 historical adventure “The Silent Mountain”, and the 2014 drama “Margarita with a Straw”.

The year 2016 saw him play the lead character Tyler in the mystery horror thriller “Friend Request”, which also starred Alycia Debnam-Carey and Connor Paolo, and was written and directed by Simon Verhoeven. It follows a girl who’s been attacked by a demonic presence, which wants her to kill her closest friends; the film won two of its three award nominations.

William’s also known for starring as Cam in the 2018 adventure fantasy “The Little Mermaid”, which also starred Loreto Peralta and Poppy Drayton, and was directed by Blake Harris and Chris Bouchard; it follows two people who’ve encountered a creature which they believe to be the little mermaid.

Some of William’s most recent movie roles have been in the horror thriller “Raven’s Hollow”, the historical action “Medieval” and the thriller “One the Line”, all released in 2022; he’s currently shooting for the upcoming movies “Ainaa” and “Savage Lands”.

Roles in TV series

William’s appeared in only two TV series, as he prefers to pursue movie roles. His debut was portraying Karl in the 2012 episode “Kilimanjaro” of the popular crime mystery “Perception”, which starred Rachael Leigh Cook and Eric McCormack, and was created by Mike Sussman and Kenneth Biller. It follows the life of eccentric neuropsychiatrist Dr. Daniel Pierce, the series aired from 2012 through 2015, and won two of its six award nominations.

From 2015 through 2018, William played Prince Liam in 40 episodes of the drama “The Royals”, which starred Alexandra Park and Joan Collins, and was created by Mark Schwahn; it follows the life of a fictional British royal family, and the series was nominated for three awards.
