The show focuses on him and his land in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina he calls Turtle Island. He helps people by teaching them wilderness survival skills, including ancient techniques on how to live off the land and earn an income. The show also focuses on a lien against his land, and his fight to maintain ownership. He is often joined in the show by Preston Roberts, his close friend.

There have been death rumors surrounding Eustace several times in his life, but they were actually proven false, as on one occasion the death reported was actually of Eustace’s father, Eustace Robinson Conway III. His close friend Preston Roberts also passed away in 2017, after fighting his battle with cancer for some time following the discovery that he had an inoperable tumor in his liver.

According to reports, Conway has three siblings. There have been no reports of him being involved romantically, or getting married, so many sources believe he is still single. Even though he is called a naturalist, he isn’t out of touch when it comes to technology. He is active online through social media, specifically as a part of Facebook.
