Early Life: Growing up in Atlanta

Kodie was raised in her birthplace with her sister Brady, a member of the platinum selling girl group named “Blaque”, and her older brother a rapper named Lil Wop by her father Danny C. Williams, a member of the “Rick, Ran & Dan” men’s vocal group based out of Detroit, and her mother of an unknown profession and identity. She was named by her grandfather after the scout, wildlife enthusiast and showman William Frederick ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody. She has two siblings, although their ages are unknown. Lastly, her father’s sister is an R&B singer named Cherrelle, famous for “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On.” Being in a musical family of this caliber, Kodie quickly found her own interest in becoming a singer, which she began developing at age 14. As for her education, she attended an unspecified high school, from where she is thought to have matriculated in 2016. Her college education is still a mystery.

Career: From Classes to Stardom

At the age of 14, Kodie began working as a writer for the Atlanta-based production studio “Greystone Park.” She was at some point in her early youth introduced to Coach K – the man behind some of the currently most successful rap names, such as Gucci Mane and the “Migos” group – who taught her how to perform. Under his mentorship (several years after she started), she met Lil Yachty and they quickly formed a connection. Yachty then invited her into his own collective called “The Sailing Team”, of which she is now the only female member. Concerning her discography, she has pushed out five albums thus far. When she was about to sign the deal with Epic Records, she wanted to use the name ‘The Don’, which is inspired by the 2013 romantic comedy drama film entitled “Don Jon.” However, she was unable to set this nickname, so she just went with what she had and thus chose ‘Kodie Shane’ instead. Her mixtape “2070” came out on the 9^th of March 2016, consisting of 13 tracks, one of the most popular songs is entitled “Sad”, which she wrote at the age of 13. Her later works came out on June 11^th 2016 (“Little Rocket”), December 2016 (“Zero Gravity”), January 17^th 2017 (“Big Trouble Little Jupiter”), and lastly “Back From The Future” on August 25^th 2017.
