He’s appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series, while he’s perhaps still known best for his portrayal of Kevin Arnold, one of the main characters in the family comedy series “The Wonder Years”. It was created by Carol Black and Neal Marlens, also starred Dan Lauria and Alley Mills, and follows Kevin as he’s reflecting to his upbringing in the ‘60s and ‘70s; the series aired from 1988 to 1993 and won 29 awards, including four Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 70 other awards.
Fred was raised alongside his younger siblings Ben and Kala Savage, both of whom have become successful actors, by their father Lewis Savage who was a real estate broker, and their mother Joanne who was a housewife.
