The Riches of Charmx
How rich is Charmx? As of mid-2019, sources inform us of a net worth that is over $1 million, earned through a successful career on YouTube. He’s also done other projects as his online fame has led him to numerous other opportunities. As he continues his career, it is expected that this wealth will also continue to increase.
Early Life and YouTube Beginnings
Very little is known about Charmx’s life prior to his rise to fame as he’s not shared a lot of details about his family, childhood, and education. According to him, he was in a dark place before he discovered YouTube as an outlet, and was even contemplating on suicide. He attributes his rise from depression thanks to the platform, as well as his own religion.
He discovered YouTube in 2013 and decided that it would be best if he started creating content on it to help keep his mind off his problems. YouTube is a video sharing website owned by Google, and is the second most popular website on the internet according to Alexa Internet. It has become one of the main sources of video content such as educational videos, documentaries, short films, live streams, video blogs (vlogs), video clips, and many more. Content creators can earn income through the Google AdSense program, which monetizes their videos depending on its popularity, which includes the number of interactions the video attracts.
The First Channels
His first channel was entitled DoYoTing, later renamed to TheCriticalBastard or TBC. Very little is known about his first channel, as he later abandoned it in favor of creating a new one. A year later, he created the first Charmx channel entitled CharmxGames, on which he mainly played various types of video games, including “Outlast” which is a first-person survival horror game. The player controls a freelance investigative journalist who goes to investigate a remote psychiatric hospital. The game received a lot of positive reviews for its atmosphere and horror elements.
While handling his gaming channel, he created a few reaction videos, and noticed that they were gaining a lot more notice than his gaming ones, so then created a second channel called Charmx2, which focused more on reactions. He did reactions for various types of content, but mostly focuses on memes. He juggled both of the channels for the next two years, but then realized that he wanted to focus on his reaction content, so ended his first channel to preserve its content, as it was actually nearing a third strike anyway, which would lead to deletion.
Recent Endeavors
He renamed the Charmx2 channel to Charmx, but it was later deleted due to hitting three strikes of violations. He eventually created his latest iteration of his channel in 2017, again entitled Charmx – prior to his transition to a new channel, his old channel had managed to amass over 800,000 subscribers. A few months later, he created another channel – Charmx3 – on which he mainly does a video series he calls YouTube Poop reactions. He also mainly watches videos on YouTube recommended by his followers and reacts to them.

Due to his old channels being shut down, he uploads old videos from time to time onto his new channel. There are also numerous channels that have sprung up and serve as archives of his old ones. He has made over 70 YouTube Poops videos now, which he calls his most successful reaction series.
He is known for wearing a beanie in his videos, and his fans often demand that he reveal his hair, however, he says that he will only do that if he reaches one million subscribers. Aside from YouTube, he is also working on his own children’s book.
Personal Life and Social Media
For his personal life, very little is known in terms of Charmx’s romantic endeavors. He doesn’t talk a lot about that aspect of his life, prefering to keep it out of the public eye. According to him, he loves memes and his favorite is the “My name is Jeff” meme taken from the film “21 Jump Street”. He used to be a fan of “The Walking Dead” television series, but no longer follows the show. According to a video, he lives in his parents’ basement, and his dream is to earn enough money from YouTube to move out of the house – he doesn’t enjoy living there due to bad relationships with his family.
A lot of his videos get demonetized due to inappropriate words or actions, so he has to be careful when editing his videos. Similar to numerous YouTube personalities, he is active online through an account on the social media website Twitter. He mentions that he is a bit addicted to Twitter, and posts a lot on the site, often memes or comedic posts. Despite all of this online presence, he manages to keep a lot of personal details about him away from the public.
