She’s been active in the industry since 2008, including stage plays as well. As she continues her endeavors, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
Dominique grew up in Bristol and is half French-Canadian. At a young age, she developed a strong interest towards performing, and began dancing at the age of four. When she was 16 years old, she then trained at the Laine Theatre Arts School in hopes of becoming an actress and singer. Laines is an independent performing arts college which was founded in 1974 by Betty Laine, and is designed to help prepare students for a professional career in the performing arts, offering courses in singing, acting and dancing.
After graduation, her first role was as an alternate for the West End musical “Dirty Dancing”, based on the 1987 dance film of the same name which starred Jennifer Gray. The film was very successful, selling over a million copies on home video, the first to do so. The soundtrack produced numerous hits, while its popularity lead to the stage version, which began in 2004. Numerous iterations of the play have since been staged.
In 2008, Provost-Chalkley had her first television role, appearing as a dancer for the series entitled “Britannia High”, a musical series which aired on the ITV network, starring Sapphire Elia, Georgina Hagen, and Mitch Hewer. The show is known for featuring cameo performances of popular music acts, and has been compared to “High School Musical”. She subsequently became the star of the thriller film “The Seasoning House”, which was the directorial debut of Paul Hyett, and was filmed at a disused air force base near London.
Around the same time, she joined the cast of another West End play called “Viva Forever!”, in which she played Holly. The play is about the popular British girl group Spice Girls, and featured many of their hit songs, however, the production was panned by critics and received many of the worst reviews of 2012. Her next project would be in the film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in which she played the character Zrinka in the film which is the sequel to 2012’s “The Avengers”, and is the 11th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In the film, the avengers fight with artificial intelligence Ultron, who is obsessed with causing human extinction.

The show is based on the comic book series created by Beau Smith, with Melanie Scrofano playing the titular character, and has been running for three seasons, with a fourth set to premiere in late-2019. According to her, she originally auditioned for the lead role, but was given another character instead. Despite that, her performance has gained a lot of praise, especially thanks to her portrayal of a queer character.
In 2018, she along with cast members of the show received a People’s Choice Award for best Sci-Fi – the show wasn’t originally a part of the list of candidates, but became a write-in candidate thanks to the support of the show’s fans.
