Monica completed a degree in Meteorology, Forecasting, and Communication in 2010.
During Cryan’s time with the university, she became involved in numerous weather-related activities and organizations to help build her skills in the craft, and was a member of the Campus Weather Service, Weather World, and the Penn State Network, as well as other activities. After completing her master’s degree in 2017, she stayed with WeatherNation for another year before deciding to move to PHL17 which serves the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley area. She said that one of her reasons for moving to the station was because of her history in the area, as she had attended schools there including Penn State University.
