Who is Valentina Zenere?

Argentine actress, singer and model Valentina Zenere was born in Buenos Aires on 15 January 1997, making Capricorn her zodiac sign. She’s appeared in only eight TV series and one movie, and is perhaps known best for portraying Camila in three episodes of the hit drama series “Cable Girls”, which starred Ana Fernandez, Yon Gonzalez and Blanca Suarez, and was created by Gema R. Neira and Ramon Campos. Set in the 1920s, the series follows four women who’ve just begun working at a phone company as operators; it aired from 2017 through 2020, and won five of its eight award nominations.

Valentina’s currently shooting for new episodes of the popular series “Elite”.

Education and early life

Valentina was raised alongside her younger sister Luciana in Buenos Aires, by their mother Nadia and father Sergio Zenere; she rarely speaks about her sister and parents in public, as she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father’s a businessman, her mother a housewife, and her sister a model.

One can say that Valentina was somewhat thrown into the entertainment industry as she was only four when she started appearing in commercials, and was six when she began performing in theatre plays. She was 13 when she made her debut TV series appearance, playing Alai Morales Romero in the 2010 episode “El Muro” of the adventure comedy “Casi Angeles”, which starred China Suarez and Emilia Attias, and was created by Cris Morena. It follows five teenagers who’ve united at an orphanage, and have now embarked on an adventure together; the series aired from 2007 through 2010 and was nominated for two awards.

Valentina studied at a local high school in Buenos Aires, while simultaneously making a name for herself in the entertainment industry; she matriculated in 2014, a year ahead of her peers, and then chose not to pursue a college degree.

Roles in TV series

The year 2011 saw Valentina play Jessica Cervantes in two episodes of the romantic action comedy “Los Unicos”, and in 2013 and 2014, she played Mara in 11 episodes of the romantic fantasy comedy “Aliados”, which starred Pablo Martinez and Boy Olmi, and follows 12 humans who’ve been tasked with proving that humanity can change for the better, or it will be wiped off the face of Earth.

From 2016 through 2018, Valentina portrayed the lead character Ambar Smith in all 220 episodes of the hit musical family comedy “Soy Luna”, which also starred Karol Sevilla and Ruggero Pasquarelli, and was created by Jorge Edelstein; it follows Luna Valente who’s moved to Argentina from Mexico, and has fallen in love with roller skating.

Valentina played Ambar Smith in the 2019 episode “Quem E Esse Cara?” of the adventure family comedy “Juacas”, and the year 2022 saw her appear in several episodes of the comedy “El Hormiguero”.

Her only other TV series role has been playing Isadora Artinan in 16 episodes of the hit crime thriller “Elite”, which today stars Itzan Escamilla and Omar Ayuso, and was created by Carlos Montero and Dario Madrona. It follows three teenagers who’ve enrolled at a private school in Spain, while their clash with the wealthy students has now led to murder; the series has been airing since 2018, and has won four of its 14 award nominations.

Roles in movies

Valentina’s only film role was in the 2019 short music video “Michael Ronda: La Diva de la Escula”, in which she starred alongside Dario Barassi, Lucila Gandolfo and Ruben Parisi, and which was directed by Bruno Scopazzo and Pablo Alejandro Girola.

Other credits

Valentina sang the song “Profugos” in the 2016 episode “Un Sueno, Sobre Ruedas” of the series “Soy Luna”.

Some of her recent talk-show appearances have been in “Pasapalabra”, “La Resistencia” and “El Hormiguero”.

Awards and nominations

The year 2016 saw Valentina win three Kids’ Choice Awards for Favorite Villain in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, all for her performance in “Soy Luna”; she also won a 2018 Kids’ Choice Award Argentina for Favorite Couple (shared with Michael Ronda) and a 2019 Kids Choice Award Mexico for Favorite Villain, both also for “Soy Luna”.

Love life and relationships

Valentina prefers not to speak about her love life in public, which is why there’s only a single man whom she’s been with, that we know about.

She was once in a relationship with Marcos De Pietri, an Argentinian social media star who’s today followed by close to 150,000 people on Instagram, and has posted nearly 100 pictures and videos; Marcos is striving to become a successful fashion designer, and has begun selling some of his clothes through his own website.

Valentina and Marcos were together for around a year in 2020 and 2021, and they uploaded numerous pictures which featured them together onto their Instagram accounts during that period.

Valentina seems to be unattached as of August 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Interesting facts and hobbies

Valentina’s a huge dog-lover, and often features her two pet dogs Felipe and Kyara in her Instagram content; close to 12 million people are following her on Instagram today, and she’s posted over 600 pictures and videos onto the network, most of which show her during her everyday life.

She’s been nicknamed ‘Valu’ by her closest friends.

Valentina’s also recently launched her music career; she released her debut single “Cero Coma” in 2022, and her second “Dale” followed in 2023, but neither has charted.

She’s following a strict diet as it’s important for her career not to gain weight; some of Valentina’s ‘fans’ have started rumors on the internet about her being anorexic, but she’s yet to comment on this.

Channing Tatum’s one of Valentina’s favorite actors, and some of her favorite movies include “Dear John”, “Magic Mike” and “Step Up”.

Valentina’s age is 26. Her hair’s blonde and eyes are blue, she’s 5ft 5ins (1.65m) tall and weighs around 125lbs (57kgs).
