Who is Carol Wright?
British TV personality, author and businesswoman Carol Wright was born Carol Brooker, under the zodiac sign Virgo on 21 September 1960 in the UK. She’s perhaps known best for appearing in the reality show “The Only Way Is Essex”, which today stars Chloe Sims, James Bennewith and Denise Van Outen, and was created by Ruth Wrigley and Tony Wood back in 2010. The show follows the lives of several people from Essex, and has won four of its eight award nominations.
Carol nowadays prefers to stay away from media, but still occasionally appears in some episodes of “The Only Way Is Essex”, alongside her son Mark Wright.
Education and early life
Carol was raised in London, England by her mother Patricia Brooker who passed away in 2015, and father Charlie Brooker; not many details have been disclosed about her parents because Carol respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father was a firefighter and her mother a homemaker. Because Carol’s yet to speak about having siblings, many of her fans believe that she’s an only child.
She studied at a local high school, and was passionate about multiple activities during her time there, as she took acting lessons plus appearing in a number of school plays, and was into playing volleyball. Carol matriculated in 1978, and even though she’s yet to speak about her further education, it’s widely believed that she attended university, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1982.

Upon giving birth to her first two children, Carol decided to remain a stay-at-home mom and not pursue a career as such in any field.
However, she’s been appearing in various TV shows since 2011, making her debut in an episode of the reality adventure show “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! NOW!”, which has been airing since 2002, and today stars Declan Donnelly, Laura Whitmore and Joe Swash. Also in 2011, Carol appeared in two episodes of the adventure comedy game-show “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!”, which stars Joel Dommett, Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, and follows 12 celebrities as they’re trying to survive in the Australian forest; the show’s been airing since 2002, and has won 26 of its 47 award nominations.
In 2018, Carol competed in an episode of the comedy game-show “Big Star’s Bigger Star”, which has been airing since 2015 and stars Jennie McAlpine, Emma Willis and Stephen Mulhern. Each episode follows three celebrities and their parents as they’re answering questions about each other.
From 2014 through 2020, Carol appeared in a couple of episodes of the reality show “The Only Way Is Essex: All Back to Essex”, and from 2016 through 2022, she appeared in two episodes of the talk-show “Loose Women”, which has aired over 4,200 episodes since its premiere in 1999. It’s today hosted by Carol McGiffin, Andrea McLean and Coleen Nolan, and has won six of its nine award nominations.
Carol’s active on various social media networks, and over 200,000 people are following her on Instagram today, making her a social media star; she’s posted over 1,300 pictures and videos, with most featuring her spending time with her husband and children. Love life and marriage
Carol doesn’t shy away from speaking about her love life in public and it’s widely known that she’s today married to British soccer agent and real estate developer Mark Wright Sr.
The exact date of Carol and Mark’s wedding remains undisclosed but it’s widely believed that they married sometime in 1983; they have two daughters Jessica and Natalya, and sons Joshua and Mark. Mark Jr.’s the most popular member of the Wright family; he was born on 20 January 1987 and is today a professional soccer player, TV personality and entertainment reporter; he’s most recently played for Crawley Town of the English Football League Two.
There are no other men whom Carol’s perhaps been with, that we know about; she’s married to Mark Wright Sr. as of October 2023, and they have four children together.

Carol spends most of her spare time with her husband, children and grandchildren, and they can all be seen featured in her Instagram content.
