Who is Khushi Kapoor?

Indian actress and social media star Khushi Kapoor, was born in Mumbai, India on 5 November 2000, making Scorpio her zodiac sign. She’s only recently begun acting and thus has only a single credit, having portrayed the lead character Naina in the 2020 short drama movie “Speak Up”, which also starred Viraj Kay and Tara Rai, and was directed by Abhishek Joshi; it follows the life of a young girl.

Khushi’s currently shooting for two upcoming movies: the war drama “The Garhwal Rifles” and the musical comedy “The Archies”.

Education and early life

Khushi was raised in Mumbai alongside her older sister Janhvi Kapoor, by their mother Sridevi who was a famous actress, but who died when Khushi was 18, and father Boney Kapoor who’s an Indian producer and founder of the Anil Kapoor Films Company. Sridevi was in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates when she was found dead in the bathtub while staying at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, and her death was ruled as accidental drowning. Khushi’s sister is today also a popular actress, and the girls also have a half-sister Anshula Kapoor and half-brother Arjun Kapoor from their father’s first marriage to Mona Shourie.

Khushi studied at Dhirubhai Ambani International School and upon matriculating in 2018 enrolled at New York Film Academy, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2022; she dreamt about becoming a model during her teenage years, but eventually switched to acting.

Khushi’s today focused on her acting career, but has also become an Instagram star; over a million people are following her on the network today, and she’s posted close to 150 pictures and videos, with most of these depicting her everyday life, while the most popular are the ones in which she’s wearing traditional Indian clothes.

Khushi shies away from speaking about her love life in public, but there are today rumors circulating the internet about one man whom she’s perhaps been with. It’s believed that Khushi’s today in a relationship with Indian stand-up comedian, musician and gamer Aakash Mehta, as the two have been spotted spending time together in public on multiple occasions, while Khushi’s also uploaded pictures of them together onto her Instagram account; she hasn’t confirmed the rumors about them dating, and some fans believe that the two are just childhood friends.

Khushi seems to be unattached as of August 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Khushi only became interested in acting after her sister Janhvi had launched her career, and she thus went on to enroll at New York Film School.

She loves tattoos, and has six inked onto different parts of her body, including her family members’ birthdates, the name of her best friend and a floral design; she and her half-sister Anshula have recently tattooed matching puzzle pieces. Khushi’s revealed that her parents were against tattoos, and that she had her first one in secret.

She’s a huge dog-lover and has a pet dog Panda Kapoor.

Indian actress Janhvi Kapoor was born on 6 March 1997 in Mumbai, making her zodiac sign Aries. She’s appeared in 20 movies and TV series, and is perhaps known best for portraying the lead character Parthavi in the 2018 romantic movie “Dhadak”, which also starred Ishaan Khattar and Ashutosh Rana, and was written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. It follows two people from Rajasthan who’ve fallen in love – the movie won 12 of its 14 award nominations.

Janhvi and Khushi were quite close while they were growing up, and Janhvi was 21 when their mother died. She studied at Ecole Mondiale World School, matriculating in 2015, and Janhvi then moved to California where she honed her acting skills at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

Her role in “Dhadak” was her debut film appearance, then the year 2020 saw her star as Sameera in the horror thriller movie “Ghost Stories”, which also starred Surekha Sikri and Amruta Subhash, and was written and directed by Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee. It’s a compilation of four short stories, and the movie won two of its nine award nominations. Janhvi was then cast to appear in the 2020 biographical action movie “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl”, the 2021 music video “Divya Kumar & Asees Kaur: Panghat”, and another 2021 music video – “Jubin Nautiyal: Kiston”.

Also in 2021, she played the main character Roohi in the horror comedy movie “Roohi”, which also starred Varun Sharma and Rajkummar Rao, and was directed by Hardik Mehta. It follows two friends who’ve been hired to kidnap a bride, while one of them has now fallen for her; the film was nominated for nine awards.

Janhvi’s also known for starring as Jerry in the 2022 crime comedy movie “Good Luck Jerry”, which also starred Jaswant Dalal and Deepak Dobriyal, and was directed by Siddharth Sen; it follows an innocent girl who’s being used to smuggle cocaine, and the film won one of its three award nominations. Janhvi’s three most recent roles have been in the romantic action movie “Bawaal”, the action film “JGM” and the family comedy movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani”, all released in 2023.

Just as her sister, Janhvi also prefers to keep the details of her love life to herself, however, it’s rumored that she’s today in a relationship with Orhan Awatramani, an Indian social activist.
