Chelsea Ingram was born on the 13th October 1988, in Raleigh, North Carolina USA. She has a younger brother named Terry, with whom she spent her childhood in native Raleigh. In regards to her education, Chelsea attended Lyndon State College, Vermont, finishing a course in Broadcasting, and after graduation, she enrolled at North Carolina University, from which she obtained a master’s degree in Environmental Science in Meteorology, then continued studies at Johns Hopkins University.
Pageantry Career, Meteorology Beginnings
Before she started considering a career in meteorology, Chelsea participated in a few beauty pageants, ultimately winning the Miss Vermont pageantry after which she received a chance to compete for Miss North Carolina title, however, she didn’t have much luck in this competition.
During her college days, Chelsea started working as an operational meteorologist for V-Trans, the Vermont Department of Transportation. It was in 2010 that she officially secured her first professional job, named broadcast meteorologist for WTVD-TV. For the next two years she held the position before moving over to WFFF/WVNY in Burlington, and a year later, became a member of the meteorologist crew of WJZ-TV, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
