Alexis was then cast in the series “Invasion”, played the role of sheriff’s daughter Kira Underlay in the science fiction series which ran for a season on ABC, and was similar to the film “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. She subsequently had roles in feature films, notably in “Sex and Breakfast”, an independent film in which she plays a sexually frustrated young woman who is a loving relationship, but takes a part in a couple swap as a part of therapy.
Later Work
In 2008, Alexis appeared in the film “Fool’s Gold”, an adventure romance about a divorced couple who rekindle their romance while searching for lost treasure, starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, who were also co-stars in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. During the same year, she had a role in “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist”, which starred Michael Cera and Kat Dennings, and is based on the novel of the same name which is a story of teenagers trying to find their favorite band’s secret show.
The following year, Alexis had a recurring role in the sixth season of the HBO show “Entourage”, which chronicles the acting career of young A-list movie star Vincent Chase and his childhood friends as they try to further their career in Los Angeles. The premise is loosely based on the life and experiences of executive producer/actor Mark Wahlberg during his time as an up and coming film star.
