Who is Domenica Davis?

Domenica Davis was born in the United States of America, and is a meteorologist, best known from serving with the television station Fox News as a weathercaster. She currently works with the New York-based station NBC as a meteorologist, a position she’s held since 2010.

The Riches of Domenica Davis

How rich is Domenica Davis? As of late-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is over $1 million, earned through a successful career in meteorology. She’s also worked with numerous other television stations throughout her tenure, and as she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.

Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings

Here is little public information about her childhood, but it’s known that Domenica was named after her father Dominik. and is of Italian descent. She developed a strong interest for reporting and appearing in front of the camera at a young age, so after matriculating from high school, she enrolled into Boston University to study broadcast journalism, graduating but then continuing to  study at Mississippi State University where she would earn a degree in broadcast meteorology.

She began her broadcasting career with a local television station, WBAL based in Baltimore, an affiliate of the major news station NBC. She was a general assignment reporter and also undertook weather reporting duties with them. She then moved to the Kentucky-based television station WAVE-TV, also affiliated with the NBC, before in 2007 with the experience and popularity she’d accrued, she was hired by the Fox News network as one of their meteorologists, staying there for the next three years.

Later Career

In 2010, she decided to leave Fox to join the New York-based station NBC as the network’s meteorologist. She is often seen as the weather reporter for the weekend edition of “News 4” which airs at 6 and 11 in the evening. Prior to the move to NBC, she had one of her broadcast videos go viral – while reporting on the weather, she dropped her microphone into her cleavage, causing a bit of an issue, but she remained composed, and one of the directors of the broadcast was quickly able to help her. Her move to NBC also prompted a lot of questions as there was no stated reason as to why she left Fox – there were rumors that she was fired for unknown reasons, however, it has not been confirmed. Her tenure with NBC then lasted for two years, and then she left, stating in an interview that she didn’t feel that she was a fit with the company, and wanted to foray into more hosting work as opposed to just reporting, so it’s unlikely that she would return. After her work with NBC, Davis worked as a freelance reporter for Bader TV, and also on projects for the Ion Channel.

Recent Endeavors and Social Media

Eventually Domenic found her new home with The Weather Channel, as she was assigned to become the host of the first American mobile morning show entitled “The Lift”. Similar to numerous broadcast personalities, she is highly active online through accounts on social media. She has accounts associated with Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, with her Twitter account mainly giving updates on recent weather news, while also answering questions of fans regarding weather. She also gives updates on recent weather catastrophes that have afflicted areas in the US.

Her Facebook account is the least active among her three accounts, still having pictures and updates from the time she was at NBC. This is usually common for broadcast journalists to have accounts not updated, as these social media accounts are usually tied in with the respective network they worked for, so the account has not posted any new content since 2013. Her Instagram account is updated regularly with a lot of personal photos, often involving friends and family. She often posts on her activities during her free time including events and trips with the family.

Personal Life

For her personal life, it is known that Davis is married but there is very little information with regards to her partner and their relationship. They have two children together who are fraternal twins with one boy and one girl. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of her husband and her children from her pregnancy up to recent months. Prior to this, there was a rumor going around that she was engaged to a Sony Pictures producer named Oren Saig, though it has never been confirmed if that is indeed her husband, yet there is also no evidence to disprove this rumor.
