When it comes to speak about his early life, Peter was born in Elkhart, but was raised on a farm in Okemos, Michigan alongside his five siblings – two brothers and three sisters. He became interested in acting very early, and while in junior high school performed in various plays and even served as a theater technical director. Upon matriculation, he enrolled in the prestigious Boston Conservatory, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater, while he minored in Music and Dance.

Talking about his career, it began after graduating, when Peter started auditioning for minor parts in various TV series. He made his debut appearance in the role of Eric Hollister in an episode of the CBS soap opera “As The World Turns” in 1981, which was followed by another minor role as Alan Cooke in an episode of the NBC sitcom “The Facts Of Life” (1982).

Peter’s acting breakthrough came in 1983, when he got his first major role as he was chosen to play Bo Brady in the NBC drama “Days Of Our Lives”, which subsequently aired until 2015, appearing in more than 1300 episodes, which increased enormously his popularity and added a considerable amount to his net worth.

In 2000, he once again reprised the role of Bo Brady in another NBC television special entitled “Days Of Our Lives’ 35th Anniversary”. Peter’s next major role came in 2004, when he was cast as Jeff in the drama film “Broken Bridges”, which was directed by Rafigh Pooya and filmed in Russia. He then landed the role of Dan Reynolds in the drama film “Street Dreams”, starring along with Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Dunn and Rob Dyrdek. In 2010, he was selected to play Richard McAndrews in the Emmy Award-winning web soap series “Venice: The Series”, until 2012, after which he made appearance as Johnny in the TV drama film “The Grove” (2013), all of which contributed to his wealth.
