Jane was raised in Amityville alongside her brothers Alec, Daniel, William and Stephen, and sister Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Baldwin Keuchler, by their father Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. who was a football coach and high school teacher, and their mother Carol Newcomb (nee Martineau) who was a housewife; Alexander passed away on 15 April 1983, aged 55, while Carol’s today 93 years old.
