Wealth Built By Various Endeavors

How rich is Deborah Falconer? As of early-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is over $700,000, earned through success in her various endeavors, including modelling work, acting and singing. Her association with Robert Downey Jr. also potentially helped increase her wealth. As she continues her efforts, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.

Finding A Career in Acting

Prior to becoming an actress, Deborah was a model, and was known for her work with the management company Elite Model Management. In 1988, she made her film debut in “The Wrong Guys”, a comedy film directed by Danny Bilson. Three years later, she would have another film opportunity in “The Doors”, which is a biographical film about the rock band of the same name which existed during the 1960s to 1970s, and starred Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan.

More opportunities started to come Falconers way, and during the same year, she was cast in the film “Pyrates”, a comedy film starring Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon. After appearing in a few low profile films such as “Brotherhood of the Gun” and “Mr. Bluesman”, she had her last film work in 1993’s “Shortcuts”, in the role of Barbara. The film is based on nine short stories and a poem created by Raymond Carver, which follows the actions of 222 characters, and featured an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr, Ann Archer, Annie Ross, Chris Penn, and Julianne Moore.

A Romance with Robert Downey Jr.

Deborah and Robert would eventually meet thanks to their shared projects. They started dating, but after just 42 days he would propose to her, and they married in 1992. They had a son a year after their marriage and would continue their relationship until 2004, although actually just four years after their marriage, the two had already separated, but it wasn’t until 2004 that she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. According to reports, the final straw was drawn when Robert Downey Jr was seen with “Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart during the Golden Globe Awards. Falconer asked for the sole custody of her child and sought spousal support payments.  During this time Robert had numerous legal and drug problems which brought him a lot of media attention. Since the divorce, the two still connect and meet, mostly due to their son.

Robert Downey Jr. later admitted that their marriage fell apart due to his drug addiction, and despite his desire to reunite, his former wife eventually settled with another man. In 2008, their son was admitted to a rehabilitation center for drug addiction. However, the news was out of proportion, as it was later revealed that their son wasn’t actually an addict.

Trying to Break Through in the Music Industry

Deborah tried her hand at pursuing a career in music, after her work in modelling and acting had died down. Her first album she released was entitled “Untangle” which didn’t gain much popularity, however, she continued making music including her second album entitled “Brave Like Me” which was released in 2003. She signed with Ravish Records, but after she failed to find any success with music, was eventually released from the label. This did not stop her, as in 2014, she decided to release a third album entitled “Lift Your Gaze”.

Prosthetic Eye

What many don’t know about Falconer is that she has a prosthetic eye, which has been well made which is why it isn’t noticeable on her videos and films. According to reports, she was given a custom made prosthetic eye created by Esthetic Eyes which made it look natural. There have been no details as to why she only has one eye and the cause of her dysfunction. Many believe that she suffered an injury, though there is no online account of the events.
