Right upon graduation, Dana began her professional career by joining CNN in 1993, serving as a producer for the network’s weekend programs, including political talk shows “Evans, Novak, Hunt & Shields”, “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer” and “Inside Politics”. She was then an assistant journalist as well as CNN’s political correspondent, reporting from Capitol Hill about the matters of the US Congress. Eventually, Dana settled as the network’s chief political correspondent, and specialized in covering the US Senate as well as issues of the US House of Representatives.
