Although born in Texas, Elle spent her childhood in Blanchard, Louisiana USA, and went to Northwood High School. Upon matriculation, she enrolled at Northwestern State University, from which she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. During her teen years, Elle was a frequent participant in beauty pageants, and won the Miss Louisiana Teen USA contest in 2008.
