John M. Cusimano’s Career
Part of Cusimano’s earlier career was as an actor. In 1981 as a teenager he appeared in the movie “Entertainment Tonight”, followed by “World War Mud” in 1982. In 1996 he lent his voice in the anime series “Rurouni Kenshin: The Wandering Samurai”, that became one of his most well-known works. In 2017 he appeared in the comedy series “Crashing,” so his work as an actor in front and behind the camera helped establish his career, and also his net worth.
Cusimano has concurrently found his way back into music, and in 2004 formed the band The Cringe in New York, joined by the other members James Rotondi, Jonny Blaze and Shawn Pelton. The band has now released a total of five albums, namely “Hiding in Plain Sight”, “Play Thing”, “Blind Spot” “Scratch the Surface”, and “Tipping Point”, and is also active in touring around the world. Despite being an independent rock band, The Cringe has amassed a huge following, and its success also helped Cusimano lift his wealth.
When he married Rachel Ray, Cusimano also began actively appearing in some of Ray’s television shows. He has been seen from time to time in “Rachel Ray”, and has also written a book entitled “My Year in Cocktails”.
The book is the companion volume of his wife’s book “My Year in Meals”, and shares his passion for mixology, as he is a trained mixologist.
