Early Life, Family, and Education

The firstborn child of the Baptist Minister, Rev. Harvey Hughes Jr., and his wife Hix Hughes, Julie had a rather tough childhood, growing up in a trailer with her parents and her younger brother, Harvey Hughes III. When it comes to her education, there are no records online, as Julie has managed to hide much of her life, before meeting her husband, Todd Chrisley.

Family Tragedy

A tough life often results in making bad moves, and it’s usually the youngest whot can’t deal with the everyday problems. This happened to the Hughes family – Julie’s younger brother, Harvey Hughes III, committed suicide at just 25 years old. Life Before Marriage

Following a childhood spent in a trailer, once Julie was out of high school, she looked for a job just to support her life. Julie has never disclosed what she did for a living, except saying that she has held a number of odd jobs that only helped her pay the bills and live day to day.

First Marriage

Before she met Todd, Julie had already been married; her first husband was Kenneth Wayne Childress. The couple met in high school and became sweethearts, and after several years of dating, they married on the 15th March 1991. However, their happiness didn’t last long, apparently because Julie met Todd soon afterwards.
