Mace Coronel

The American actor Mace Coronel was born in New York City, USA, on 10th March 2004. Best known for his role as one of four quadruplets in the Nickelodeon series “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”, Mace has also appeared in a plethora of music videos, commercials, shows, and even short films.

Background

Since the tender age of seven, Mace knew that he wanted to be a stand-up comedian and entertain huge crowds for a living. However, he decided to focus on acting, and began auditioning for commercials and participating in short student films in 2011. According to Mace’s mother, she paid for an acting class for her son when he was seven, but he asked if she could get the money back because he didn’t think acting was something that could be taught.

According to an online profile of Mace that was written when he was 12 years old, his hobbies at the time included snowboarding, parkour, mixed martial arts, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Mace and his younger sister, Wynter, were homeschooled; it’s likely that he was encouraged to join the entertainment industry by his mother, who is an acting tutor. The Coronel family moved to Nebraska in 2011, but soon returned to Los Angeles so as to further Mace’s fledgling career.

Mace’s father, Marc Coronel, is an elusive figure who works as a global fitness consultant and senior master course trainer. When he met Grace, she had recently divorced and had two children, Mace’s half-brother and -sister. It’s interesting to note that despite being an acting coach, Grace herself only has one acting credit, in the 2014 independent short film “Money Shot”.

Career

In 2013, Mace had his first guest role in “Hart of Dixie”, which was soon followed by a recurring role as R.J Forrester in “The Bold and the Beautiful”. After appearing in nine episodes of the long-running soap opera, he was cast as Dicky Harper in “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”. As the troublemaker of the quadruplets, Dicky had plenty of screentime, with the show proving so popular that producers extended the first season by seven episodes. The show ran for a total of four seasons, with the other quadruplets being played by Lizzy Greene, Casey Simpson and Aiden Gallagher.

Mace has also been active on YouTube, with his own channel coming in handy as a second revenue stream. Some of Mace’s YouTube videos include “A Day with FIELDING WEST”, in which the actor spent a day with the famous magician, and learned plenty of tricks and stunts. In October 2016, he shot a music video with Nadia Mejia and the D’Ambrosio twins; a month later, he participated in the second season of “Paradise Run”, a Nickelodeon game show and competition series.

Despite Mace’s career slowing down after the peak of his Nickelodeon heyday, he was recently cast as Jay Kelso in “That ‘90s Show”, a period teen sitcom and the sequel of “That ‘70s Show”. The first season is set during summer 1995, and features characters and locations first seen in its predecessor. “That ‘90s Show” made its Netflix debut in January 2023; a month later, the series was renewed for a second season.

“That ‘90s Show”

The main character of the show is Leia Forman (played by Callie Haverda), a socially withdrawn and somewhat awkward teenager who was raised in Chicago, Illinois. Described as being adventurous, smart, and snarky, Leia loves to go on adventures but becomes overwhelmed easily due to her sheltered upbringing.

Leia is an excellent debater and the daughter of Donna Pinciotti and Eric Forman. Despite having a deeply affectionate and supportive relationship with her mother, she and Eric aren’t on the best of terms. While staying with her grandparents in Point Place during season one, Leia began dating Mace’s character Jay Kelso, portrayed as a charming and flirtatious videographer, the son of Michael Kelso and Jackie Burkhart.

No official release date has been confirmed for the second season of “That ‘90s Show” just yet. However, there have been hints of new episodes coming in early 2024, as the first season aired in January 2023. Naturally, part of the show’s success is thanks to the returning cast members from “That’s ‘70s Show”, such as Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith. Although Mace didn’t know any of his co-stars prior to joining the cast of the series, he has described working with them as “dope”.

Present Day

Mace has been pretty quiet on his social media platforms lately, sparking concerns from fans who’d like to know what he’s up to. In February 2023, he shared some old photos of his trip to Berlin, but since then it’s been radio silence from the actor. When his busy filming schedule allows it, Mace works on perfecting his photography skills, and has already released a photobook with hundreds of original images.

As for Mace’s dating life, he’s yet to be linked to anyone, or discuss his sexual orientation. The actor prides himself in protecting his privacy and rarely gives interviews unless it’s to promote his latest projects, so it’ll probably be a while before we learn anything about his love life. Speaking to Schon Magazine, Mace eagerly discussed his short film, “Gibson”, what photography means to him, and how he spends his days: “focusing on music and living my truth”.

When asked by an interviewer what piece of advice he’d give a newcomer to the industry, Mace said sagely: “Don’t do it for vanity. Follow the truth… Do it because you love it, otherwise, I think it’d be a waste of time.” When asked if he’s looking forward to any upcoming projects, the actor shared that he hoped to star in an indie film or a Daniel Scheinert movie.

The actor is reportedly 5ft 4ins (163cm) tall and weighs 52kgs (114lbs). Despite varying reports, reliable sources estimate that Mace’s net worth is close to $1 million.
