The following year, Kelly appeared in the film “Going the Distance”, a teen comedy that was later released in America under the name “National Lampoon’s Going the Distance”. Other projects she had during this time include guest roles in “The Newsroom and “The Catch”, and she also appeared in a few television films, including “Whiskey Echo” and “Selling Innocence”. In 2005, she was cast in the series “Slings & Arrows”, which is set in a fictional Shakespearean festival similar to the Stratford Festival.
Joanne focused on more television roles over the next few years, and had a string of projects during this period including “Playing House”, “Solar Attack” and “Vanished”, which revolves around the story of a missing Georgia senator’s wife, later unveiling a wider conspiracy with Kelly playing the role of Sara Collins for 13 episodes. She stayed with “Warehouse 13” for its entire run from 2009 to 2014, but also took other parts during this time.
One of her more notable film roles was the psychological horror film “Don’t Blink”, which stars her alongside Mena Suvari.
