Who is Oka Giner?

Mexican actress Okairy Alejandra ‘Oka’ Giner Arredondo was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 30 November 1992, in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico. She has 17 acting credits and is perhaps known best for portraying the lead character Barbara Fuenmayor in her debut TV series role, in all 26 episodes of the romantic series “Gossip Girl: Acapulco”, which also starred Diego Amozurrutia and Sofia Signiega, and was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage; it’s based on the original series “Gossip Girl” but with Mexican characters and in the Spanish language.

She’s currently shooting for the upcoming movie “Inesperadamente Lucia”.

Oka was raised in Camargo by her parents Guillermo Giner Chavira and Lorena Arredondo Alderete, however, not many details have been shared about them because Oka respects their privacy; she’s also believed to be an only child because she hasn’t spoken of having siblings.

Oka attended many beauty pageants when growing up, and was 17 when she signed her first modelling contract and was featured in the online newspaper “El Diario de Chihuahua”; she was passionate about dancing, and practiced Tahitian and Hawaiian dances for more than 10 years.

Her film debut was playing Alejandra in the 2014 short romantic drama “M de iMportante”, which also starred David Medel and was written and directed by Andre De Trejo and Franco Sales; it follows two teenagers who’ve fallen in love.

In 2015, Oka starred in the short comedy “Hagamos un Corto”, which also starred Jaime De Lara and Jose Luis Badalt, and which Oka also wrote and directed; it follows several friends as they’re shooting a film together.

In 2015, Oka played Emilia Marin in 56 episodes of the crime drama “Senorita Polvora”, which starred Ivan Sanchez and Camila Sodi, and follows Valentina whose father’s just died, while she’s learned that he was a mafia member.

In 2015 and 2016, she starred as Susana ‘Susy’ Sanders in 105 episodes of the drama “Bajo el Mismo Cielo”, which also starred Maria Elisa Camargo and Gabriel Porras, and follows Adela Morales who’s trying to leave her gang, while a hardworking family man Carlos is helping her hide from them. Oka could then have been seen playing lead characters in the 2015 romantic comedy “¿Quién es Quién?”, the 2016 romantic crime drama “Lady of Steel” and the 2017 drama “La Piloto”.

In 2019, she played Marina Salazar in all 70 episodes of the comedy “Cita a Ciegas”, which also starred Victoria Ruffo and Sofia Garza, and follows Lucia who’s trying to lose weight and find a boyfriend before her younger sister’s wedding; the series was nominated for seven awards.

In 2021, Oka portrayed Juana Caridad in all 18 episodes of the crime horror “The Five Juanas”, which also starred Renata Notni and Zuria Vega, and was created by Jimena Romero and Alejandro Reyes; it follows five women who bear the same birthmark and are trying to learn more about their pasts. The following year saw Oka appear in the comedy “Ninis” (lead role), the drama “High Heat” and the comedy “Daughter from Another Mother”.

Also in 2022, she played Domenica Ruiz Montalvo in the drama “Corazon Guerrero”, which starred Gonzalo Garcia Vivanco and Alejandra Espinoza, and was created by Katia Rodriguez. It follows three brothers whose parents have just died and who’ve now been adopted by different families.

Nacho was born in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Castilla La Mancha, Spain, on 27 April 1982, and has 17 acting credits, while he’s perhaps known best for portraying Nico in the 2013 adventure science fiction movie “Nova”.

Oka and Nacho don’t have children together, and this is widely believed to be because they both want to focus on their careers.

There are no other men whom Oka’s perhaps been with, that we know about; she’s married to Nacho Redondo as of September 2023 and doesn’t have children.
