Who is Aaron Rodgers?
Aaron Charles Rodgers was born on the 2nd December 1983 in Chico, California, USA, of British and German descent, and is a professional American Football player, who is best recognized for playing in the position of quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers. He is also known for being the Super Bowl MVP in 2010 and League MVP in 2011 and 2014.
Childhood and Early Life
High School Career
In 1997, the family moved back to Chico where Aaron matriculated from Pleasant Valley High School, which was where he became interested in football, and played for the school team. Even at the beginning of his football career, he showed noticeable talent as he set single-game records of six touchdowns and 440 all-purpose yards, as well as single-season school record with 2,466 total yards in 2001.
College Career
Aaron began playing in the position of the starting quarterback after just five games with the team, and helped them to set a 7-3 record in the 2003 season. In the following year, his contribution to the team led them to 10-1 record, good enough for a top 5 position at the end of the season, an amazing performance considering that he was still a junior. With his 26 consecutive passes, he set the school record in that category, and yet another record with his 85.3% pass completion. Overall, he finished the 2004 season with 2,566 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions, after which he decided to enter the 2005 NFL Draft.

Professional Career Beginnings
Arron’s impressive overall college performance led him to be selected in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, as the 24th overall pick by the Green Bay Packers, subsequently signing a rookie contract worth $7.7 million, which marked the establishment of his net worth. The next three years, Rodgers didn’t see that much action at the field, as he was the backup quarterback who got on the field only when their starting quarterback was injured. However, during those years he improved his moves, body shape and form thanks to his head coach Mike McCarthy.
Rise to Fame
In 2008, Aaron eventually became the starting quarterback for the team, when Brett Favre announced his retirement. He immediately proved that he deserved the position by passing for 4,038 yards and 28 touchdowns in this first season. In the games that season, he threw 157 consecutive passes without interception which was the third-longest streak in the history of the franchise, which increased enormously his popularity. At the end of the season, the Packers extended his contract for six more years, which was worth over $65 million, adding a considerable amount to his net worth.
MVP Title
In the following years, Aaron managed to become one of the greatest quarterbacks in the league due to his commitment and persistence. The team finished the 2011 season with 15-1, which was one of the many records they set that year, with Aaron one of the most efficient players, setting the record pass rating of 100.0 in 12 consecutive games, and winning the MVP title in 2011. During the same year, he also won Associated Press Athlete of the Year Award, Bert Bell Award and that season was ranked as the third greatest passing season of all time by ESPN in 2013 and was regarded as the most efficient.
Recent Years and Second MVP Title
The 2014 season was also one of Aaron’s most valuable and important seasons as he finished it first in touchdown-to-interception ratio, lowest interception percentage, second in passer rating, yards per attempt, and touchdown passing percentage, third in touchdown passes, seventh in passing yards and ninth in completion percentage. In addition, Aaron set an NFL record for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception. Moreover, this was the year when he received his second league MVP title, as well as the NFC Offensive Player of the Year Award.
