In 2013 Diggins-Smith was drafted into the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), picked third overall by the Tulsa Shock. The following year, she was named to the All-Rookie Team, and was later on also named WNBA All-Star for the first time. Unfortunately, Diggins-Smith missed most of the 2015 and 2016 season after suffering a torn ACL. She came back in 2017 with the newly named Dallas Wings, and played all 34 games of the season, then was voted into the WNBA All-Star Game.
