Mimi grew up wanting to be on TV, as she was watching TV shows, especially news programs, which made her different from her peers who wanted to become doctors, actors or models. After she matriculated from high school, Mimi enrolled at the prestigious Harvard University and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree, then enrolled at the New York University School of Law and completed her Juris Doctorate – due to her being an extraordinary student, she was inducted into the Order of Coif society at the university.

Mimi launched her career as soon as she qualified – she began working as a litigation associate for the law firm located in New York called Cravath, Swain, and Moore. After being part of their team for a while and gaining some experience, Mimi moved to work in the office of the US District Court Judge John Gleeson as a clerk – this job did not require her to move as her office was located in the Eastern District of New York. At the same time, she was working for Chester J. Straub as his clerk – Chester was the Senior US Circuit Judge serving in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mimi’s name was somewhat already recognized in the law business, and she was invited to work as an Assistant US Attorney in the Southern District of New York, a job she subsequently held for more than 16 years, working partly on numerous serious criminal cases.

Although she is trying to keep her personal matters to herself, there is still a lot known about Mimi’s love life. She seems to be happily married to her other half David Brian Anders – the two were dating for several years before they exchanged their wedding vows in January 2007. Although Mimi had many interests and hobbies in the past, she now seems to be spending all of her free time with her husband and their children.
