Who is Elijah Connor?

American pop singer-songwriter, actor and model Elijah Fred Harry Connor, was born under the zodiac sign Cancer on 20 July 1990, in Detroit, Michigan USA. He’s perhaps known best for being the younger cousin of the late American singer-songwriter, producer and actor Prince Rogers Nelson, who passed away aged 57 on 21 April 2016; Prince is widely regarded as one of the best musicians of all-time.

Elijah’s also known for his music career, as well as for his appearances in various reality shows, most notably in Fox’s 2018 “The Four: Battle for Stardom”; the show was created by Elwin De Groot, starred DJ Khaled, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Fergie, and follows a group of musicians competing to become the best.

Education and early life

Elijah was raised in Detroit alongside his older brother Eddie, solely by their American evangelist mother Janice Connor; Elijah’s father abandoned the family not long after he and his brother were born.

He became passionate about a number of activities while attending Farmington High School in Michigan, including appearing in school plays and singing in a school band; Elijah also enjoyed playing soccer and basketball with his friends in his spare time.

He matriculated in 2008 and then enrolled at college, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in medicine in 2012; during his time at college, Elijah modelled for Armani and Sears to financially support himself.

Elijah’s music career

Elijah signed his first contract with Blackground Records 2.0 in October 2021, however, he left in February 2022 because he was dissatisfied with how they were managing him. He’s released only a couple of songs, including “Lemon & Lime”, “Reputation” and “Mill Ticket”.

He’s today mostly focused on uploading his music onto his self-titled YouTube channel, which he launched on 17 March 2010, and which is today subscribed to by close to 25,000 people; all of Elijah’s seven videos combined have been watched over 2.4 million times.

Acting credits

Elijah’s debut film role was playing a supporting character in the popular 2012 musical movie “Sparkle”, which starred Whitney Houston, Carmen Ejogo and Jordin Sparks, and was directed by Salim Akil. It follows three sisters as they’re forming a girl group in the ‘60s; the film was nominated for seven awards.

In 2022, Elijah portrayed Kevin in the romantic movie “Single Not Searching”, which starred LisaRaye McCoy, Brely Evans and Osas Ighodaro, and was written and directed by Michael Akwesi Djaba. It follows four friends as they’re travelling from Atlanta, Georgia to Ghana.

Elijah’s only other acting credit has been playing one of the lead characters in the 2023 musical series “Grown & Gospel”, which also starred J. Brooks and Tasha Page Lockhart, and follows five childhood friends as they’re pursuing a career in the entertainment industry in Detroit.

Elijah appeared in four episodes of the 2011 reality game-show “Donald J. Trump Presents: The Ultimate Merger”, and the following year saw him star in two episodes of the reality show “Player Gets Played”, which also starred Sasha Hart and Meghan Courtney, and features several men who are secretly dating multiple women as they’re being confronted.

Elijah made a guest appearance in a 2019 episode of the talk-show “Sister Circle Live”, and most recently in 2023, he made a guest appearance in the talk-show “Paltrocast with Darren Paltrowitz”.

Elijah’s active on various social media networks as this is important for his career; more than a million people are following him on Instagram today, and he’s posted 85 pictures and videos, with most of these featuring him promoting his music, spending time with his friends and relaxing at the beach.

He’s highly active on Twitter as he’s tweeted over 2,100 times since he launched his account in April 2009; Elijah’s followed by more than 25,000 people on this network – most of his tweets are about his music.

There are also those who believe that he’s perhaps currently focused on his career and isn’t pursuing love, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.
