Who is Jennie Jacques?
British actress Jennie Jacques was born under the zodiac sign Pisces on 28 February 1989, in Coventry, West Midlands, England. She has 22 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for starring in her debut film appearance as Ree Ree in the 2010 action crime comedy movie “Shank”, which also starred Adam Deacon and Kedar Williams-Stirling, and was directed by Mo Ali; it follows a gang as they’re trying to avenge the murder of one of their own in futuristic London, England.
She hasn’t had any roles since 2019, but hasn’t officially retired from acting.
Education and early life
Jennie was raised alongside her six younger siblings in Warwick, Leamington Spa and Coventry, as the family occasionally moved; the names of her mother and father remain undisclosed, but it’s believed that they were both high school teachers.
She studied at a local high school in Leamington Spa and was into several activities during her teenage years, as she enjoyed appearing in school plays, taking dance lessons and playing soccer. Jennie matriculated in 2007, and even though her initial plan was to pursue a college degree, she instead chose to try out her luck in acting.
Roles in TV series
Jennie’s debut TV series role was playing Katie Fielding in two episodes of the 2009 crime drama “The Bill”, which starred Jeff Stewart and Graham Cole, and was created by Geoff McQueen. It follows the lives of several police officers from East London, the series aired from 1984 through 2010, and won seven of its 33 award nominations.
Also in 2009, Jennie portrayed Annie Miller in all six episodes of the drama mini-series “Desperate Romantics”, which also starred Sam Crane and Samuel Barnett, and was created by Peter Bowker and Franny Moyle. It covers London’s Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and its rise, and the series was nominated for several awards.
Jennie could then have been seen appearing in a 2010 episode of the romantic drama “Lark Rise to Candleford”, Lily Knowles in the 2010 episode “Nice and Easy Does It” of the drama “Casualty”, and Tilly in two episodes of the 2012 romantic comedy “Love Life”.
In 2013 and 2014, she portrayed one of the main characters WPC Gina Dawson in the romantic crime drama “WPC 56”, which also starred Charles De’Ath and John Bowler, and was created by Dominique Moloney; it follows the lives of women who joined as the first Woman Police Constables (WPC) in the ‘50s.
In 2015, Jennie portrayed Judith in the episode “Vows” of the historical action “Vikings: Athelstan’s Journal”, and the same year saw her play Tash in six episodes of the comedy “The Delivery Man”.
From 2015 through 2019, she portrayed Judith in 40 episodes of the critically acclaimed action adventure “Vikings”, which starred Gustaf Skarsgard and Katheryn Winnick, and which Michael Hirst created. It follows the life of Viking warrior Ragnar Lothbrok, the series aired from 2013 through 2020 and won 46 of the 180 awards for which it was nominated.
Jennie’s since appeared in only a single TV series, playing Amber Saunders in five episodes of the 2019 crime mystery “London Kills”.
Roles in movies
The year 2010 saw Jennie appear in the drama “Stanley Park”, the horror thriller “Cherry Tree Lane”, and the short drama “Nocturn”.
In 2011, she portrayed one of the main characters, Jasmine in the horror thriller “Demons Never Die”, which also starred Jacob Anderson and Robert Sheehan, and was written and directed by Arjun Rose. It follows a young girl who’s just committed suicide, while Archie and his friends have now followed her lead and have formed the pact Suicide Kids. Jennie could then have been seen appearing in the short horror mystery “The Other Side”, the horror mystery “Truth or Die” and the drama “Just Around the Corner”, all released in 2012.
She’s since had only a single film role, starring as Katie in the 2014 short drama “No Hopers”, which also starred Jack Binstead and Tim Bentinck, and was written and directed by Elliot James Langridge; it follows a dyslexic teenager as he’s attending a special needs school.
Other credits
Jennie was featured in the 2015 TV specials “Vikings Season 3: Heavy Is the Head – The Politics of King Ragnar’s Rule” and “Vikings: Season 3 – Guide to the Gods”.
Love life and boyfriend
Jennie rarely speaks about her love life in public but we know that she’s today engaged to British actor and musician Evan Todd. The two met sometime in the second half of the 2010s but they’ve been successful at hiding the exact date, as well as the way in which they met. It was in 2021 that they became engaged, but Evan and Jennie are yet to exchange vows; some of their fans believe that they might have already married but are keeping this away from media, however, this hasn’t been addressed by either of them.
Evan is only three days older than Jennie, as he was born on 25 February 1989; he has 14 acting credits and is perhaps still known best for playing Student in the 2007 romantic comedy movie “Sydney White”.
There are no other men whom Jennie’s perhaps been with, that we know about; she’s engaged to Evan Todd as of September 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Interesting facts and hobbies
In an interview with the magazine “The Sunday Times” in 2021, Jennie revealed that she had suffered from the Epstein-Barr virus back in 2019, and that she was then diagnosed with post-exertional malaise and chronic fatigue syndrome; it was mostly because of this that she became an ambassador for the charity Open Medicine Foundation which researches various illnesses. This is also the reason why Jennie hasn’t had any roles in the past a couple of years.
She’s revealed that one of her sisters is suffering from epilepsy.
Close to 400,000 people are following Jennie on Instagram today and are awaiting her return to the film industry; she’s posted over 100 pictures and videos, and most are about the books which she’s read.
She loves animals and her favorites are dogs and cats.
Jennie’s into travelling and has been to several countries around the world, but she still mostly enjoys being in London, England.
One of her favorite actors is John Malkovich, and some of her favorite movies include “Being John Malkovich”, “In the Line of Fire” and “Dangerous Liaisons”.
